Besides his batting potential, he is also a handy bowler who can take wickets in crunch situations. Recently, Russell unleashed his storm during the second T20I against Australia at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia.

West Indies are taking on Australia in 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is. Recently, West Indies played against South Africa in the Test and T20I series. South Africa won both formats in a convincing fashion. Proteas won the Test series by 2-0 and registered a clean sweep.

After that, they lost the first two T20Is but made a grand comeback in the last three games and eventually, won the series by 3-2. Now, West Indies have provided a great start in the new home assignment against Australia. They won the first two T20Is in style and took a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

They are just a win away from sealing the T20I series. Meanwhile, a video clip featuring Russell and Starc has been doing the rounds on social media. The clip shows Russell unleashing his full power by taking Mitchell Starc's bowling attack to the cleaners.

The all-rounder absolutely smacked Mitchell Starc's delivery into orbit during the first T20I. Batting first, West Indies scored 145/6 in 20 overs. Russell top-scored with 51 off 28 balls including 3 fours and 5 terrific sixes at a strike rate of 182.14. Josh Hazlewood took 3 wickets and Mitchell Marsh took 2 wickets. Mitchell Starc was expensive as he leaked 40 runs in his quota of 4 overs. 

In reply, Aussies were bowled out for 127. Mitchell Marsh scored 51 off 31 balls including 5 fours and 2 sixes. Obed McCoy took 4 wickets in his quota of 4 overs while Hayden Walsh took 3 wickets. Coming to the second T20I, West Indies posted 196/4 in 20 overs. Shimron Hetmyer hit 61 off 36 balls including 2 fours and 4 sixes. Dwayne Bravo remained not out on 47 off 34 balls including 1 four and 3 sixes.

On the other hand, Russell scored 24 off just 8 deliveries with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes at a monstrous strike rate of 300. In reply, Aussies were bowled out for just 140. Mitchell Marsh top-scored for Aussies with 54 off 42 balls with the help of 5 fours and a six. Shimron Hetmyer who composed a spectacular knock was named the man of the match.

West Indies won the third game by 6 wickets and went on to win the T20I series. However, Aussies, somehow earned a consolation win by beating West Indies by 4 runs in the fourth T20I.
